2011-12-04PERRY MARC PISANI 1/8/52-12/4/11 In Loving Memory. Perry Marc Pisani, 59, of Sebastian died at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Florida for 45 years. He was a deputy with the Indian River County Sheriff's office for 30 years and a police officer with the VBPD for 2 years. He held a culinary degree from American Culinary Federation and loved cooking for his family and friends. The Florida Resaturant Assocation named him Distinguished Student. Governor Jeb Bush presented him with his award at the International Food Show in Orlando, FL. Radio was his passion ahd he saw the need for Christian radio sation. Working in law enforcement for most of his career he saw first hand the hopelessness that so many people feel. He felt that radio was a way to give hope to people who were desperately in need of God's love. He followed God's calling 22 years ago and was the driving force behind Christian FM becoming part of our community. After retiring from the Sheriff's office, he worked part-time for a public jazz radio station in Brevard County. WGRV the Groove reches out to kids in the community to supply them with educational music to enhance upcoming youg musicians. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Rena Pisani of Sebastian, daughter Gail Pisani of Vero Beach, stepdaughter Sabrena Gonzalez of Kansas, stepson Sheldon Bruister of Vero Beach and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Otto Pisai, Mother Phillipa Pisani and sister Lenore Wheelus. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday December 13th, 5:00 pm at Central Assembly of God, 6767 20th St, Vero Beach with Pastor Buddy Tipton officiating.
